THE PROCESS
How It Works
Seed & Silk uses almost every dye method out there. Whether it’s giving life to a dead floral bouquet by imprinting the pigment from the florals and plants onto silk, to a standard solid color in a traditional bath, or repurposing an old garment that is sitting in the back of your closet.
Artist & owner, Abbie finds inspiration from nature, each month focusing on a new plant dye each month. Offering limited collections, Seed and Silk is ever-evolving. Abbie is always looking for new and inspiring methods. Her current favorite dye material is avocado pits!
